I had been looking forward to yesterday for weeks.
Friday was the first day that Jesse and I were able to spend together--just the two of us--since early November. It was the first day we didn't have a church event, church-school event, youth group event, family event, or anything else. We were so excited!
We needed a day like yesterday. Two months is way too long to go without getting to spend a full day with the one you love.
It was perfect.
We slept in, enjoyed a lovely breakfast and a slow morning together, and then we spent our afternoon at The Huntington Library.
I had been looking forward to it for so long that I was practically giddy with excitement. I love him!
Here are some pictures from our perfect day:
We enjoyed an audio tour of the Huntington Art Gallery.
I was pleasantly surprised to find a harp in the museum! A single action pedal harp from 1800. So crazy cool.
After paying homage to some of my favorite paintings, we went back outside to see what the rainforest glasshouse had to offer.
It was an absolutely perfect day.
Looks like FUN! We left town a few weekends ago and had a wonderful time just being away together.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I'm glad you were able to spend this time together! Beautiful photos! :)
ReplyDeleteYou two are just adorable!! And you took some really nice pictures! Enjoy every minute you ever have together, they all become precious memories!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the Huntington Library! I once had a date there myself a long time ago when I was in college. It's such a beautiful place!
ReplyDeletePrecious B,
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking us along on your perfect day. I'm so glad that you had such a time at the Huntington Museum & Gardens.
- Did you really heed the "Do Not Touch" sign by the vintage 1800 Pedal harp? ( How could you?!)
- Jesse looks like he is in a scene from a 60's horror classic film while in the "rain forest glass house".
- I didn't know that Jesse is an accomplished Koi trainer! ( A man of many additional hidden talents.)
But my favorite picture is of your tandem shadows. Who knows the extent of your influence through your blogs. That shadow picture encourages me to pray that our Lord will continue to use your blogs for His glory, and bless you with many such happy days together.
Great Big Love & Hugs,
Dad
PS: I think your site is great!
PPS: How are you adjusting to Lent for "Date with God" this year?
